- 1910s
- made of colorful & metallic embroidery, with Peking glass handles, & colorful silk tassels
- rank badges were worn by Chinese officials, and overtime were sometimes repurposed by western collectors, or sold through Japanese export shops
- embroidery depicts a bird, that I believe is a paradise flycatcher, which would represent the 9th rank
Flat Measurements
Depth: 12”
Width: 10”
Condition: Excellent- there are a few tiny pinholes and spots on the inside lining, but they can’t be seen from the outside. I also added period appropriate antique Peking glass handles (that I found on original deadstock antique Chinese cards) because it was missing them when I found it. Presents perfectly
