- During the Great Depression the Bradley Knitting Mills created the "Baby Buffalo" fabric to draw in business during this desperate time. Although very fashion forward, the Baby Buffalo line was too expensive for most people during the depression and didn't sell well. Unable to pay back a loan taken out for the Baby Buffalo venture, Bradley took a severe financial blow, eventually leading to the downfall of the company several years later
